This free webinar is for members of the Ottawa Branch of the National Association of Federal Retirees and their guests

“Some Investment advisors justify their fees by claiming that they can beat the market. They tell clients that if they pick individual stocks rather than using low-cost index tracking Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) they will do better.

But, 90% of investment advisors and mutual funds under perform the market.

Statistics have proven that the number one determinant of investment performance is keeping fees as low as possible.” – Michael Fine

This webinar will look at the real statistics of managed versus passive investment performance, and present low cost alternatives that give even the smallest portfolio the opportunity to match the market.

The Ottawa Branch is hosting this webinar that will be led by Michael Fine, a member and a retiree who manages his family’s portfolio. Michael has an MBA and has completed the Certified Financial Planner course. Michael does not work in the Financial Services industry and is not involved in the sale of financial investments or the provision of financial advice for a fee.
